K.C. Cunilio is a Colorado attorney whose practice focuses on public utility regulation, administrative litigation, and the representation of Tribal governments, local governments, and non-profit organizations in energy and infrastructure matters. She practices extensively before the Colorado Public Utilities Commission and has also been involved in proceedings before the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Her work spans electric and gas rate cases, transportation electrification, energy efficiency, electric resource planning, CPCNs, transmission, and rulemakings. She has represented her clients in matters involving Xcel Energy, Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Black Hills Energy, Black Hills Gas, Atmos Energy, and Colorado Natural Gas. Her experience includes participation in numerous multi-party settlements and contested administrative hearings.
K.C.’s work with Tribal clients builds on her long-standing commitment to Native American law, which began during law school and continued through her volunteer service with the Denver Law Tribal Wills Project, which has brought her across the American West.
